Program objective: To provide specialized external expertise to help companies wishing to improve their environmental and economic performance to go further in their process of adopting structuring eco-responsible practices and implementing clean technologies. This program will meet the needs of SMEs and communities for support and expertise in sustainable development through technical assistance.
Program details :
- For companies with 200 employees or less
- For major, structuring projects within companies and/or local authorities
- Minimum non-repayable contribution of 5,000 $ per project
- Funding covering a maximum of 90 % of eligible expenses for technical assistance and/or specialized expertise
- Types of eligible expenses: Professional fees for technical assistance projects and travel expenses.
Examples of projects eligible for technical assistance in sustainable development :
- Optimizing waste management
- Ecodesign
- Optimizing human resources management
- Biomimicry
- Sustainable business models
- Optimizing energy consumption and efficiency
- Carbon footprint
- Optimizing freight transport
- Risk management
- Product lifecycle analysis
- Sustainable development compliance and certification
Improving the environmental and economic performance of companies enables them to :
- Improve competitiveness while reducing environmental footprint
- Increase support for corporate image
- Mobilize teams, promote employee retention and facilitate recruitment
- Take part in the fight against climate change
- And much more.
To be eligible for the Green Shift program, a project must meet the following 4 criteria:
- The project must have an economic impact (e.g. increased productivity, reduced waste management costs, etc.);
- The project must have an environmental impact (e.g., reducing the volume of materials going to landfill, reducing fuel oil use, etc.);
- The project must be structuring (e.g., respond to a major challenge, a priority for the company, etc.);
- The project must lead to action (support must include a plan for implementation and identification of the investments required).
