Since March 2016, anyone concerned by the commercial and service business offer in Matawinie could express their needs and thus contribute to improving the current offer. It was possible to have their say using an online survey or via the numerous local consultations that were held in the ten (10) participating municipalities.

This project had 3 concrete objectives: to facilitate the start-up of new entrepreneurial projects, to enhance the service offering of existing businesses and, ultimately, to revitalize the living environment by responding concretely to the needs of citizens, vacationers and tourists visiting the municipalities concerned.

Following the consultation phase from March to June, the results will be published and integrated into a website. presenting the main business opportunities arising from the study. The site is intended as a reference point for all business projects in the Matawinie region, as well as providing tools to stimulate and support entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs in their endeavours. The tool will be launched this autumn.

In all, nearly 1,750 surveys were completed, for a response rate of 6.5% of the population.. These results exceed the objectives set for 4%. "We are very pleased with people's participation in this study.
