ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS ANNOUNCE THREE-YEAR SECTORAL AGREEMENT <\/strong><\/p>\n

Joliette, February 5, 2018<\/strong> - The Minist\u00e8re de l'\u00c9conomie, de la Science et de l'Innovation, the Minist\u00e8re des Affaires municipales et de l'Occupation du territoire, the Table des pr\u00e9fets de Lanaudi\u00e8re, the 6 Lanaudi\u00e8re regional county municipalities (RCMs), the RCMs' economic development departments and organizations, the Community Futures Development Corporations and Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique were proud to announce the following projects this morning Sectoral development agreement to support implementation of the Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique 2016-2020 action plan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The objectives of this sectoral agreement are to carry out activities related to common local and regional economic development issues, promote entrepreneurship, improve business performance, develop the skills of the region's socio-economic players, develop projects contributing to economic vitality, foster concerted economic development and support the structure.<\/p>\n

\"This agreement was made possible thanks to partners committed to local and regional economic development, for the benefit of communities and businesses alike. This action plan is based on a shared desire to contribute to the development of the Lanaudi\u00e8re region, and we can be proud of that,\" said Mr.me<\/sup>\u00a0Lise Th\u00e9riault, Minister responsible for Consumer Protection and Housing and Minister responsible for the Lanaudi\u00e8re region.<\/p>\n

Louis-Charles Thouin, President of the Table des pr\u00e9fets, emphasized that \"all elected officials in the Lanaudi\u00e8re region are firmly committed to supporting local and regional economic development. As such, we are aware that concerted action by economic players is a key factor in structuring the region's development. To this end, the concerted and complementary work of a regional player such as Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique is of paramount importance.<\/p>\n

\"For over 25 years, Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique's leadership has been recognized by all the region's economic development players. Thanks to the three-year sectoral agreement, Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique will pursue its commitment to its mission with conviction. The actions deployed under this agreement will complement the work of local economic development organizations, enhance the services available to our businesses and respond to common local and regional economic development issues. Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique is the expression of our desire to join forces for the benefit of economic development and support for entrepreneurship,\" concludes Oliver Goyet, President of Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique.<\/p>\n

About Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique offers services in business transfer, sustainable development and synergy of industrial by-products, human capital management and psychometric testing, in addition to various mandates aimed at the economic development of companies and the region in collaboration with its partners. Each year, Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique provides services to nearly 300 companies.
