Innovative, simple and creative solutions were proposed, enabling them to reduce their waste management costs and improve their environmental performance, while identifying new business opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>This inspiring training program was offered jointly by the Conseil Patronal de l'Environnement du Qu\u00e9bec (CPEQ) and the Centre de transfert technologique en \u00e9cologie industrielle (CTT\u00c9I), as part of a tour of Quebec's regions. The main objective was to demonstrate to companies that the industrial ecology business model offers the potential for considerable economic gains, as well as positive environmental and social spin-offs for those who adopt it.<\/p>\n<p>During the training session, participants heard from Martin Marion, President of LiveRoof Qu\u00e9bec and ambassador for the Synergie Lanaudi\u00e8re project, who shared his experience and passion for industrial synergy.<\/p>\n<p>This training session was presented as part of the Synergie Lanaudi\u00e8re project, which aims to bring together the region's industries, businesses and institutions to facilitate and enable the exchange of materials, energy, resources and expertise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Synergie Lanaudi\u00e8re project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Powered by Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique, Synergie Lanaudi\u00e8re is an economic development initiative aimed at optimizing the use of resources and extending the useful life of materials in the region. Through this initiative, Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique aims to support the region's organizations in their sustainable development efforts, thereby increasing their productivity and profitability while helping to make Lanaudi\u00e8re a showcase for sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Conseil Patronal de l'Environnement du Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Created in 1992 by representatives of Quebec's major industrial and business sectors, the Conseil Patronal de l'Environnement du Qu\u00e9bec (CPEQ) is the umbrella organization representing Quebec's business sector on issues related to the environment and sustainable development, coordinating the objectives of its members. The CPEQ brings together more than 250 companies and 37 of Quebec's leading associations, generating over 300,000 direct jobs and posting combined revenues of more than $45 billion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Centre de transfert technologique en \u00e9cologie industrielle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A college center for applied research associated with the C\u00e9gep de Sorel-Tracy, the CTT\u00c9I's mission is to enhance the performance of businesses and communities through research and development of innovative approaches and technologies in industrial ecology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lanaudi\u00e8re \u00c9conomique's mandate is to bring together the economic development players in the Lanaudi\u00e8re region, to contribute to regional consultation and to promote economic development as a regional development issue through structuring projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the MRC de Joliette<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a regional hub, the MRC de Joliette offers a prosperous and innovative living environment, forming a strategic ecosystem in the heart of the Lanaudi\u00e8re region.
