On June 12, at the Club de golf Montcalm in Saint-Liguori, the 8e<\/sup> edition of the Foundations Golf Tournament organized by the Fondation du patrimoine de l'\u00c9tincelle and the Fondation Camp De-La-Salle. Under the honorary co-presidency of Isabelle Perreault, Mayor of Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez, and L\u00e9onard Primeau, FCSI.MD<\/sup> CIMMD<\/sup>Vice-President, Lanaudi\u00e8re Branch, Investment Advisor, Portfolio Manager, Desjardins Securities, this fundraising event generated net income of $29,200 $, exceeding the amounts raised in previous editions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Profits from the event will be shared between the two Foundations, enabling them to carry out their respective missions towards children, families and vulnerable individuals, as well as all those from underprivileged backgrounds. The aim of these foundations is to offer these clienteles the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a stay at summer camp.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \"\u00a0With major participation from Desjardins Caisse de Kildare, all the other Caisses de Lanaudi\u00e8re and many other major sponsors, the event was a resounding success.<\/em> \"says Louison Francoeur, President of the Fondation du patrimoine de l'\u00c9tincelle. \"\u00a0A total of 97 golfers enjoyed the day's activities, plus 56 guests for dinner and the evening. In the end, the event brought together 153 participants, an all-time record for our organizations.<\/em>. Everyone went home happy and satisfied with this wonderful day, participants and organizers alike.<\/em> \"says Anick Beauvais, President of the Camp De-La-Salle Foundation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gifts totalling over 13,500 $ were also handed out to participants as door prizes, or through various activities such as raffles and auctions. Over 175 prizes in all were provided by the tournament's generous sponsors.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The organization would like to thank all those who contributed in any way to the day's success, and especially the many volunteers who made the event possible. The organizing committee also extends an invitation for next year.
