In front of an audience of 275, the 19the he regional final of the Défi OSEntreprendre, held at Théâtre Hector-Charland in L'Assomption, was an opportunity to discover some inspiring and promising entrepreneurial projects! The winning projects in the Student Entrepreneurship and Business Creation categories now move on to the ultimate stage, the Défi OSEntreprendre national final. The regional committee crowned 16 entrepreneurial projects and awarded four special prizes for a total of 18,500 $ in bursaries.
The honorary regional president of this 19e Mr. Emanuel Paquin, CEO of Repentigny-based Virtuel Graphique, said: "We're very proud of this year's event. I've been involved with the Défi OSEntreprendre Lanaudière for 10 years now. Truth be told, the Challenge inspires me. I love seeing the entrepreneurial ideas that students and entrepreneurs come up with every year, some as original as others. Entrepreneurship is about self-fulfillment, developing new things, surpassing yourself and making your own choices. "

19th edition in review
This year, the Défi OSEntreprendre Lanaudière attracted no fewer than 59 projects. Student Entrepreneurship. This component encourages initiatives that contribute to the development of entrepreneurial values in schools and extracurricular activities, from primary school to university.
The shutter Starting a business is aimed at people aged 18 and over who are in the early stages of realizing their business project. A total of 54 business projects were submitted for this 19th edition.
The success of the entrepreneurial adventure in Lanaudière is the fruit of close collaboration between the region's schools and socio-economic organizations, which has been going on for many years. Coordinated by Lanaudière Économique, this 19th edition is implemented by CIENOV and SADC Achigan-Montcalm. The Challenge is also overseen by members from MRC economic development departments and agencies, Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs), Carrefours jeunesse-emploi (CJEs), the Coopérative de développement régional du Québec, the Commission scolaire des Samares and the Commission scolaire des Affluents.
