Through its interventions and investment funds, SADC Matawinie ensures that a climate conducive to development initiatives is in place, while providing financial support and follow-up to projects that emerge in the community.

 

Mandate description

Communications and project management officer will be responsible for planning and carrying out SADC's visibility and communications activities. The agent will also manage or collaborate on local economic development projects and events in collaboration with the SADC team.

Under the supervision of general management, thecommunication and project management agent will aim to:

  • Plan, organize and manage communications and marketing activitiess investments media, social media and marketing in line with the SADC communications plan;
  • Plan, organize and manage certain events initiated by the SADC;
  • Plan, organize and manage all SADC Matawinie communications tools (websites, social media, newsletter)
  • Collaborate on local economic development projects;
  • Coordinate media relations;
  • Manage SADC members;
  • Work in collaboration with local organizations;
  • Represent SADC Matawinie on various committees;
  • Help organize and lead one-off activities;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training and networking activities for companies, according to their needs;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by general management.

 

Qualifications required

  • University studies in communications, marketing, administration or related fields;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Strong sense of autonomy, organization and initiative;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in similar positions;
  • Own a car for frequent travel in the MRC and region.

Conditions:       Hiring date: June 2017

Duration: One-year position (full-time 35 hours/week)
