The Société d'aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) Matawinie is proud to have supported the succession project of Salaison J. St-Georges, a butcher's shop located in Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie. Financial support of 19,500 $ has been granted to complete their project to buy out the business.

A second life for this butcher shop, established in Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie since 1924
Congratulations to Steve Garant and Valérie Deschênes, now owners of Salaison J. St-Georges, a butcher shop established for nearly 90 years in Saint-Émélie-de-l'Énergie. The two owners acquired the business last July, and specialize in retail and carcass sales of Quebec meats. They offer a wide variety of products and already have a well-established clientele.

Plans are already on the horizon to expand their product range and perhaps add new sales outlets. The couple also dream of selling meat produced on the family farm in a farm store, and perhaps veal and wild boar. In short, there's no shortage of ideas, and their future as entrepreneurs lies ahead of them. They invite you to come and meet them and see their vast range of products at 420 rue Arbour, in Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie!

SADC Matawinie would like to congratulate Steve Garant and Valérie Deschênes on their success and wish them the best of luck in their business projects.
