On June 27, SADC Matawinie presented its 2018-2019 activity report at its annual general meeting held at the Saint-Jean-de-Matha Golf Club in Saint-Jean-de-Matha.
This year, SADC Matawinie continued to focus on providing dynamic consulting and support services to the community. Following an internal reorganization begun last year, the team was able to implement an enhanced consulting service. This new approach has improved the type of support as well as the follow-up provided to our customers. 2018-2019 is a year in which several important elements are coming to a close for SADC Matawinie. As we reach the end of our 2016-2019 strategic plan and the three-year agreement with Canada Economic Development, it coincides with the culmination of the Réseau des SADC et CAE's pan-Canadian work with the federal government to overhaul the Community Futures Program (CFP), which began three years ago.
In terms of local development, the actions that have been prioritized and carried out will enable us to bring together local partners to work together on strategies for promoting, attracting and welcoming visitors to our region, as well as pooling our joint strengths.
MORE THAN 700,000 $ INJECTED INTO THE ECONOMY TO SUPPORT OUR REGION'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
This year, the SADC granted 704,809 $ in loans to support MRC companies in carrying out their business projects. This financial assistance generated total investments of 1,811,459 $. The 25 business projects financed led to the creation and maintenance of 63 jobs.
Business consolidation and job preservation were a priority for the organization. SADC took the opportunity to highlight the impact of its interventions and investments. What's more, all the concerted work carried out with local players at organizational, ministerial and municipal levels has laid a solid foundation for the future.

During the general meeting, the SADC Matawinie team celebrated 10 years of service with SADC Matawinie for Julie Miron, business advisor.
