François Charron back in Lanaudière with a brand new conference: Selling online easily with a small budget

Wednesday the 1ster October at 8:30 a.m. at Club de golf Montcalm in Saint-Liguori, the popular TV columnist will share his tips for getting started in e-commerce. How can you integrate online sales and reservations into the day-to-day running of your small business? How to attract new buyers, whether they're local or from the other side of the world? How to use Google, Facebook and others? He will also be presenting his votresite.ca toolbox and Web solutions.

The Achigan-Montcalm and Matawinie SADCs, in collaboration with Desjardins Entreprises and Emploi-Québec, invite SME owners and the general public to a conference by Web expert François Charron.

This OPÉRATION Branchons les PME du Québec in Lanaudière is designed to help small businesses and self-employed workers in the region build their transactional site. Since its launch in January 2012, this vast operation has made stops in over 100 cities across the province, reaching more than 10,000 entrepreneurs.

"Quebecers spend $7.3 billion a year on the Web. 88% of our companies don't do e-commerce. The result? Only 1$ out of every 4 spent online by Quebecers goes into the pockets of local businesses. We urgently need to help SMEs take charge of their business," emphasizes Michel Clément, General Manager of SADC Matawinie, who invites the public to the conference.

The aim of this event is to show small business owners, the self-employed, heads of organizations and anyone else interested that it's now easy to do e-commerce on a very small budget. "If you can send an e-mail with an attachment, you can run an online store and reservation system on your site with just a few pennies a day. That's the challenge we're taking up with yourwebsite.ca tools," says François Charron proudly.

The Web is essential to the viability of the region's businesses. "Any SME offering products or services must sell them online. Its growth, if not its survival, depends on it," asserts François Charron.

WEB COMPANIES
During the event, Lanaudière-based Web companies are invited to exhibit their services at booths set up for them. All this, of course, in order to offer the widest possible choice to the consumers who will be on hand.
