The Société d'aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) Matawinie is proud to announce the creation of a new company, Transport Luc Quitich inc. to transport wood in the Lanaudière and Mauricie regions.
Mr. Luc Quitich, a worker from the Atikamekw community of Manawan with many years' experience as a truck operator, has decided to trade in his working title for that of entrepreneur. The acquisition of a truck and the purchase of a trailer have enabled him to carry out this project and start up his own business, a wish he has cherished since his youth. He says he's "very happy and enthusiastic" about this achievement, and doesn't mince words about the advantages of being able to work in the region, closer to his family in Saint-Michel-des-Saints.
He has always enjoyed working in the forestry industry, where he says he feels "at ease". It's a new challenge that makes Mr. Quitich very serene, and he sees nothing but positive in it.
Setting up the company Transport Luc Quitich inc.. is underlined by the desire and motivation to own his own tractor-trailer business. The Manawan Atikamekw Council contributed to the process to help Mr. Quitich start up his business, with a constant vision of improving the lives of Manawan residents.
Mr. Quitich can also count on the support of Groupe Champoux inc, co-shareholder of the company, which employs 125 subcontractors annually for all its operations. Mr. Quitich is now one of these subcontractors, and has a fixed and guaranteed position within the company, with his own adjacent company. Visit Champoux Group to encourage the employment of members of the Atikamekw community, and intends to establish a partnership that will promote their employment within its operations.
Luc Quitich stresses the importance of never ceasing to believe in one's dreams, because with willpower, the dreams of youth always come true one day.
SADC Matawinie is proud to have supported Mr. Quitich in the development of his new business. The coaching (consulting services) and financing offered through the Fonds d'investissement enabled him to bring his business project to fruition.
