Clearly, Web presence is no longer an issue, but a necessity for today's businesses. And Lanaudière entrepreneurs are well aware of this. Nearly 150 people attended the conference given by Web chronicler François Charron on May 1.er October, in St-Liguori. The Achigan-Montcalm and Matawinie SADCs are proud of the response from businesses, and hope that the conference has served to give entrepreneurs the tools they need to get started.
To stay competitive and take advantage of the market, online sales are now a must. That's what Web expert François Charron shared with us during his visit to Lanaudière. His conference demystified the world of online sales and reservations in the day-to-day life of an SME, and presented concrete solutions accessible to all. Since its launch in January 201
2, this vast operation made stops in more than 100 cities across the province, reaching over 10,000 entrepreneurs.
A kiosk area was set up for the occasion, enabling several Web and graphic design organizations and companies to promote their services. "We're fortunate to have a wealth of resources in the region ready to help entrepreneurs develop their business on the Web. Whether it's for the design, promotion or financing of your projects, the services are there," says Michel Clément, General Manager of SADC Matawinie. We invite you to consult the directory of available resources at www.votresite.ca or contact your CFDC.
Invitation to SMEs: online store workshop Training courses on creating online stores were announced at the event, thanks to a partnership with the Commission scolaire des Samares' Service aux entreprises et à la communauté and Formation Québec en Réseau. All available places were filled following the conference, and new dates are now being announced in view of the popularity of this training. The one-day activity takes place in a 53-foot high-tech trailer equipped with computers, a giant screen and high-speed Internet. Hurry, only twenty (20) places are available! You can even easily connect the store to an existing website. Watch this TVA report shot last June in Baie-Comeau, when the workshop was in town. http://youtu.be/zoM_0tBf58w
