The Défi OSEntreprendre, until recently known as the Québec Entrepreneurship Contest, is now open for entries for its 18th edition, presented by Desjardins.
The only one of its kind, the Défi encourages those with the audacity to take action. With its Student Entrepreneurship component, which recognizes young people from primary school through to university, and its Business Creation component, which supports new entrepreneurs, it reaches over 40,000 participants every year. Dominique Brown, President of Chocolats Favoris, will continue his involvement with the Défi by acting as spokesperson for this year's event. "OSEntreprendre et change le monde! is the invitation he extends to all those who are thinking of developing a project in a school environment, or starting their own business.
Once again this year, a ton of pride to offer and over 700,000 $ to award in bursaries to winners across local, regional and national levels. The Grands Prix Desjardins Gala, which will crown the national winners of both components, will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Quebec City.
We are particularly pleased to highlight the Quebec government's commitment to the Prix Réussite inc. which is aimed at companies that have already taken part in the Challenge and are still in business after 5 years. This prize was won in 2015 by Kéfiplant, a Centre-du-Québec company.
