The Société d'aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) Matawinie is proud to support Mr. Raymond Trussart in company expansion SLOCAN inc. Thanks to the financial support received via the Investment Fund, the company has acquired an industrial condo enabling it to expand its workshop for greater efficiency.
As part of this expansion, the company SLOCAN has purchased an industrial condo in Rawdon. This project will enable the company to expand its presence and reputation in the Lanaudière region, not only by creating additional jobs, but also by designing the majority of its own parts and conveyors on the company's new premises. The idea of acquiring an industrial condo came at a time when Mr. Trussart had decided in the past year to rent a larger site in order to carry out his own manufacturing of mechanical equipment, with the aim of moving away from the subcontracting services involved. The spin-offs being positive on many levels, the expansion project made perfect sense. The company's new building now boasts a surface area of approximately 5,300 square feet, as well as two unloading docks.
The company SLOCAN has been serving companies since 2004 under the presidency of Mr. Raymond Trussart, who has multiple skills in industrial mechanics, manufacturing and installation. Over the years, the company has grown steadily to become a leader in the field of industrial and process mechanics. The company offers maintenance, inspection, installation, compliance, expertise and design services at its customers' plants, as well as manufacturing services. A personnel placement service is also available to the company's customers. The company employs just over 20 people.
The company has also developed new products in machine and workplace safety in recent months. These were presented at the CNESST Grand Rendez-vous held at the Palais des Congrès on November 8 and 9. The reception of the new products by the industry has been positive. A number of meetings and requests for support in OHS compliance and safe workspace improvement have been received.
SADC Matawinie is proud to have supported SLOCAN inc. in its expansion project, through coaching and financial support via its Investment Fund.
