Registration opens for training on non-timber forest products (NTFPs)

Mushroom picking - summer 2013

Now is the time to register for the 3e edition of the training course on non-timber forest products. This training program is attracting a great deal of regional and provincial interest. It is aimed at developing skills in agroforestry, and covers the various uses of this resource in a commercial context.

NTFPs are a world to discover: wild mushrooms, forest vegetables, berries, Nordic nuts, medicinal plants, etc.. Our aim is to develop a workforce that is competent in this field and capable of working for local companies or starting their own business projects. Internships are offered to enable participants to explore job prospects.

Are you interested? You have until July 26 to register. Simply contact Emmanuelle Lefebvre at SADC Matawinie at the following coordinates: T. 450 883-0717, ext. 222    elefebvre@matawinie.qc.ca

This training course is given by the Association forestière de Lanaudière (AFL) and the Société d'aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) Matawinie, in collaboration with the Service aux entreprises et à la communauté, of the Centre multiservice des Samares.
