In front of nearly 250 people, the 18e he regional final of the Défi OSEntreprendre held in Saint-Charles-Borromée was an opportunity to discover inspiring and promising entrepreneurial projects! Winning entrepreneurial projects
Student and Business Creation now turn their attention to the ultimate stage, the national final of the Défi OSEntreprendre. The regional committee crowned 15 entrepreneurial projects and awarded three special prizes, for a total of 22,750 $ in bursaries.
The honorary regional president of this 18e Roxanne Masse, owner and manager of Hopla! in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, said: "A regional gala like tonight's gives entrepreneurs a chance to shine, from a very early age. It highlights the day-to-day work of our entrepreneurs and brings them together. Being an entrepreneur is quite an adventure! You have to be able to question yourself, adapt, seize opportunities and surround yourself with the right people. Because entrepreneurship is daring! I sincerely hope that this evening has inspired more than one person to apply for a future edition, or perhaps even to go into business for themselves. For my part, this decision forges the person I am every day and reveals unsuspected qualities.
18th edition in review
This year, the Défi OSEntreprendre Lanaudière attracted no fewer than 65 projects. Student entrepreneurship. This component encourages initiatives that contribute to the development of entrepreneurial values in schools and extracurricular activities, from primary school to university.
The shutter Starting a business is aimed at people aged 18 and over who are in the early stages of realizing their business project. A total of 50 business projects were submitted for this 18th edition.
The success of the entrepreneurial adventure in Lanaudière is the fruit of close collaboration between the region's schools and socio-economic organizations, which has been going on for many years. Coordinated by Lanaudière Économique, this 18th edition is implemented by the economic development corporation of the MRC de Joliette and the SADC de D'Autray-Joliette. The Challenge is also supported by members from MRC economic development departments and agencies, Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs), Carrefours jeunesse-emploi (CJEs), the Coopérative de développement régional du Québec, the Commission scolaire des Samares and the Commission scolaire des Affluents.
