Gastronomic novelty in Saint-Michel-des-Saints

Thanks to With the financial support received through SADC Matawinie's Stratégie jeunesse program, which includes a two-year interest exemption, a new business opened its doors this summer in our beautiful Matawinie region.

Located in the heart of the village of Saint-Michel-des-Saints, Le Bistro des Saveurs is taking over the site of the O'Resto restaurant, which has been in existence for over 50 years. The brand-new business offers a unique bistronomic (bistro/gastronomic) concept, providing a dining alternative to what already exists in the municipality. The bistro seats 80 and will offer a table d'hôte for lunch and dinner.

The arrival of lunch boxes and take-out picnic boxes will delight Saint-Michellois, tourists and people renting cottages, camping, ZECs and outfitters. A delicatessen featuring products from the Lanaudière region is on sale in a section of the bistro, and dishes cooked directly on site are sure to meet visitors' expectations. A novelty that is sure to please all those in search of discovery and curiosity! The Bistro des Saveurs will also feature a beverage license.

Accompanied by her husband, Jean Desormeaux, Amélie Dumas has jumped into this new entrepreneurial project with both feet. She holds a diploma from the ITHQ (Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec) in food service and restaurant management techniques, and has some twenty years' experience in the gastronomy field. Having worked on various large-scale projects in the past, the new entrepreneur is very enthusiastic about embarking on this new project alongside her life partner, who alone has over 40 years' experience in the kitchen.
