Twenty Lanaudière residents aged 14 and 15 took part in the 8e edition of the Camp des jeunes leaders lanaudois under the theme : Don't be cold! On January 24 and 25, participants from the four corners of the Lanaudière region travelled to Camp Village des jeunes in Saint-Côme for an enriching entrepreneurial experience. SADC Matawinie is proud to have supported this event and its success. Congratulations to all participants.
During their stay, participants discovered entrepreneurial and cooperative values such as leadership, team spirit, mutual aid and tenacity. The main activity Don't be cold gave youngsters the chance to take on a number of physical challenges, such as building a shelter in the woods and completing a blindfolded hebertism course. To add to these athletic challenges, the teams had to decipher numerous riddles on entrepreneurship. Mission accomplished for these young people, who all survived these entrepreneurial challenges!
In the evening, the youngsters took part in an entrepreneurial quiz that challenged them both physically and mentally, as well as putting their knowledge to the test! Two speakers and entrepreneurs came to the camp to share their experiences with the youngsters. Geneviève Everell, head of Sushis à la maison, and Marie-Élène Corbeil of MEC événements spoke to the campers about the joys of making a living from their passion.
