On March 26, the local gala of the OSEntreprendre Challenge of the Matawinie MRC, showcasing inspiring entrepreneurs who have taken action. There's no doubt that the MRC de Matawinie has much to be proud of, with no fewer than 16 business applications submitted this year.
Four companies were crowned winners at the local Défi OSEntrenprendre gala. In front of some twenty people gathered at the Côte à Beausoleil craft brewery in Saint-Jean-de-Matha, economic development organizations such as SADC Matawinie and the Développement Matawinie team highlighted the initiatives of local entrepreneurs.
Édith Gravel, Director General of the Matawinie RCM, said she was very inspired by the spirit of initiative of the people of Matawinie and proud of the dynamism of the entrepreneurial community. "I'd like to congratulate all of tonight's award-winning companies and thank them for their contribution to our growth. It's important to believe in yourself and follow your dreams."says Gravel. The Défi OSEntreprendre is the perfect springboard for those who want to help build a proud, innovative, committed and prosperous Quebec.
The evening saw the celebration of four winners in two Challenge streams: 2 winners in the "Business Creation" stream, and 2 winners in the "Doing Business Together" stream.

The shutter Doing business together of the Défi OSEntreprendre showcases the diverse models of companies that stand out for their sourcing practices from Quebec suppliers. These inspiring companies have decided to do things differently and have a positive impact on the environment and their communities. Here are the two winners from the nine entries received:
The house of happiness, Saint-Côme

The House of Happinessis the gourmet essence of the forest! The boutique-café is a showcase for their creations based on wild and boreal plants, as well as for the favorites of local artisans. A gourmet space where every bite tells a story of terroir and passion.

Market gardeners established in Saint-Damien since 2008, Aux Jardins de la Bergère grows certified organic fruits and vegetables. Their family farm offers organic baskets in the Lanaudière region, and welcomes customers to their on-farm boutique year-round.

If the Défi OSEntreprendre en Matawinie, supported by the MRC de Matawinie and SADC Matawinie, has become a key event in promoting the entrepreneurial spirit in the field, it's thanks to the close collaboration of the entrepreneurial community and numerous collaborators and partners, such as Services Québec and Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Matawinie.
About the OSEntreprendre Challenge
OSEntreprendre's main activity, the OSEntreprendre Challengehas become a major Quebec movement, showcasing the entrepreneurial initiatives of tens of thousands of people every year.
The winning companies in the official Défi OSEntreprendre categories will have the chance to represent the MRC de Matawinie at the regional final, to be held on April 29 in L'Assomption.
The Défi OSEntreprendre takes root at local, regional and national levels, thanks to more than 300 local leaders mobilized in the 17 regions of Quebec to spotlight local projects.
