Joliette, February 15, 2018 - Lanaudière Économique and its partners invited some 30 companies and stakeholders involved in economic development and waste management in Lanaudière to a free training session to help them improve their waste management. Innovative, simple and creative solutions were proposed, enabling them to reduce their waste management costs and improve their environmental performance, while identifying new business opportunities.
This inspiring training program was offered jointly by the Conseil Patronal de l'Environnement du Québec (CPEQ) and the Centre de transfert technologique en écologie industrielle (CTTÉI), as part of a tour of Quebec's regions. The main objective was to demonstrate to companies that the industrial ecology business model offers the potential for considerable economic gains, as well as positive environmental and social spin-offs for those who adopt it.
During the training session, participants heard from Martin Marion, President of LiveRoof Québec and ambassador for the Synergie Lanaudière project, who shared his experience and passion for industrial synergy.
This training session was presented as part of the Synergie Lanaudière project, which aims to bring together the region's industries, businesses and institutions to facilitate and enable the exchange of materials, energy, resources and expertise.
