Local component of the 15th edition of the Québec Entrepreneurship Contest: La Matawinie announces its winners!

quebec entrepreneurship contest winners lanaudière The SADC and CLD de la Matawinie are pleased to announce the winners of the local section of the Business Creation category of the 15th edition of the Québec Entrepreneurship Contest.

La Maison familiale Rurale Matawinie, Création Maryfashion, La Table Gourmande La Canardière and La Chèvrerie Barbe Bouc - these 4 young businesses have earned a pass to the regional final, which brings together the local winners from each of Lanaudière's 6 MRCs. The regional final will be held, by invitation only, on May 8, at Salle Marcel-Thériault in Saint-Côme.

These 4 finalists are therefore eligible for the popular vote. From April 22 to May 3, 2013, all you have to do is go to www.entreprenez.qc.ca and find out which projects are in the running by visiting the Popular Vote tab. Once you've chosen your favorite project, all that's left to do is validate your vote! Each individual is entitled to one vote per e-mail address, for each of the two sections of the Contest.

La Maison Familiale Rurale Matawinie is a solidarity cooperative in partnership with the Commission scolaire des Samares that offers young people aged 16 to 20 a different way of learning and succeeding! Boys and girls can earn a DES at the same time as a DEP in programs that meet local labor needs. Theoretical courses, on-the-job internships and a unique living environment thanks to residential accommodation in the northern part of the MRC deMatawinie.

Creation Maryfashion recovers, transforms and recycles furniture and decorative objects. This Rawdon-based company also manufactures decorative elements to enhance comfort and solve problems in living spaces. Création Maryfashion offers its own collection of objects as well as makeover advice, setting itself apart through its eco-responsible values and personalized service.

La Table Gourmande La Canardière opened its doors last September: 6-course gourmet table, distribution of homemade and regional products, full catering service, tableware rental for up to 500 people and cooking classes... Passionate chef Charlaine Bélanger welcomes lovers of fine dining to an authentic ancestral home in the village of Ste-Marcelline-de-Kildare.

La Chèvrerie Barbe Bouc produces Boer kids for butchery. In this way, she contributes to the discovery of the chevreau, a lean and very tender meat! By welcoming visitors to its St-Damien-de-Brandon farm, the company will join the Lanaudière agro-tourism network. Chèvrerie Barbe Bouc will work to transform chevreau meat and create delicious products for Quebec's finest tables.
