Local winners of the Défi OSEntreprendre announced for the Matawinie MRC

Compilation of participation results for the 23rde edition of the Défi OSEntreprendre is now over, and the MRC Matawinie winners are now known! A total of three (3) winners have taken home the prize for local business creation in the Matawinie RCM.

The local Défi committee warmly congratulates the winners on their significant contribution to the region's economic development, and takes this opportunity to emphasize how proud the Matawinie RCM is of each and every one of their successes. Because they dare to undertake, they contribute to building a proud, innovative, committed and prosperous Quebec. The committee is therefore proud to unveil the companies that have distinguished themselves over the past year.

Les Gentils company
Marie-Christine Le Vey, Rawdon.

In 2020, Les Gentils entered the booming niche of 2D and 3D motion design, illustration and video communication. Based in Rawdon, in a region that is at the turning point of the digital shift, the one-man business offers services first to businesses, then to individuals. The Défi OSEntreprendre en Matawinie local committee is made up of a representative from the Service de développement local et régional (SDLR), Mr. Hachirou Nassirou, from MRC Matawinie, and Ms. Julie Miron from the Société d'aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) Matawinie.

Together, they oversaw the competition at local level, and formed a jury committee made up of local and regional players. Projects were evaluated according to a number of criteria, including market analysis, operational, financial and marketing plans, as well as the entrepreneurial profile of the promoter(s).

 

About the OSEntreprendre Challenge

 


The aim of the Défi OSEntreprendre is to support the development of entrepreneurship in Quebec by rewarding concrete initiatives in both the Student Entrepreneurship and Business Creation segments, throughout the province. Through its Business Creation program, the Défi encourages entrepreneurs in the early stages of business start-up to present their business projects, and thus contribute to their development.
